“The gesture was in fulfillment of our promises to NYCN Orile Agege chapter, for diversification and investment in agriculture.

“We approved the take-off of the planting of maize, vegetables and Animal Husbandry  on 10 Acres of land acquired for youths.

“We will meet the executive of NYCN to kick start the agriculture programme,” he said.

The LCDA chairman said: “This project is one of the best projects that will touch a large number of active youths within the council area and also decimate the unemployment challenges in our dear community.

“Youths that are ready to work should see this as an opportunity to start the good journey of life.”

He advised them to be proactive, saying that the project should cut across youths within the various wards in the council area.

Babatunde also urged youths not to pay lip services to the recycling programme put in place by his administration.

He appealed to youths to put in their best to get rid of plastic waste from their community under the programme of “Turning Waste to Wealth”.

Babatunde also urged the youth to use the opportunity to be engaged in productive economic activities for positive turnaround of the community.

He, however, encouraged them to set a record that would make youths in Orile Agege LCDA to be pacesetter of youths development.
