| PRINCE HAMZAT DISTRIBUTES 3,000 FREE SCHOOL BAGS IN IFAKO-IJAIYE |
Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH), Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, distributed 3,000 free school bags to pupils across 17 public primary schools.
The initiative aims to alleviate financial pressure on families and motivate young learners. Represented by Council Manager Alhaji Akeem Adegbenro Adesanya, Prince Hamzat emphasized education as “the cornerstone of community progress.”
The Executive Chairman praised teachers, parents, and local officials for their role in advancing education, calling the project a “shared victory.” Education Secretary and teachers’ representatives applauded the effort, noting its alignment with broader goals to improve access and quality in schools.
Attended by education officials, school heads, and pupils, the event highlighted the council’s ongoing focus on education infrastructure and social welfare.
Under Hamzat’s leadership, the local government continues to prioritize partnerships and sustainable initiatives to uplift residents and drive development in Ifako-Ijaiye.
