The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi has taken activities of the council to the doorsteps of electorates.

This is part of Egunjobi's campaign promises to foster inclusive governance within the council.

The event is tagged: Mobile Governance: - Effective Service delivery to resident's doorstep.


Agege Pulse learnt that the Mobile Governance Initiative is to directly listen to the yearning of the people of Agege and proffer tailored solutions to several issues affecting all the seven wards in Agege.



The unprecedented Mobile Governance is first of its kind with the maiden edition held today  at Ogeretedo Street of Aluminum  International village, Agege Ward B.

 Agege Pulse learnt that the ward was chosen as venue of the maiden edition in honour of late Opeyemi Beckley who died recently while serving as the councillor representing Ward B.

It was also learnt that The Council carried out all administrative activities for the day outside the council's secretariat for the first time in history.

Speaking, Chairman of Aluminum Village, Alhaji Olanite Biliaminu Oladimeji expressed joy at the unusual gesture of Egunjobi saying that they are happy for the development, adding that their long yearning for conducive environment in Aluminum village would receive a desired attention.



At the location are all Management Staff of the Council, Public Affairs Unit,  Surbodinates, SLG, and other Supervisory Councillors.

Agege LG Boss, Egunjobi Bestows Scholarship On Indigent Pupil

In what would be regarded as a show of kindness and love of the less privileged, the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi today, bestowed scholarship on one Precious Awobokun.



The beneficiary is a pupil of Agege Local Government Playing Center Nursery and Primary School situated inside Maternity Health Centre, Agege.

Agege Pulse learnt that Precious is one of the most brilliant students of the school but being an indigent student, she's struggling to acquire stationery and other schools needs.



Precious situation was made known Egunjobi through her teacher and after due consultations, the youthful LG Boss decided to pour milk of kindness on her with the scholarship.



It was learnt that the scholarship which covers free education from Basic One to Six, entails provision of free school uniforms, text books, sandals, books and other stationery.

Agege Pulse further learnt that the beneficiary reside at Olugboso Street, Ward G, Agege.

Agege LG Boss, Hon. Egunjobi Declares Mission to make Agege Cleaner, Healthier

Last week, AgegePulse, in one of its reports, highlighted the promise of the Executive Chairman of Agege LGA, Hon. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi to ensure proper waste management in the communities.



Now, we can inform you authoritatively that all is set for the people of Agege to experience a clean, safe and healthy environment as the council has planned to give total support to Visionscape Sanitation Solution Ltd of the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI) Consortium.



The company's Area Manager  in charge of Agege, Mr Imoisime Igbode and his team have held meeting with the Executive Chairman of Agege, Hon. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi and the H.O.D Environment,  Mrs. Falade Kemi yesterday at the Council's Secretariat.

Mr. Igbode who explained modalities and the company's mode of operations to the council Chairman, stated that there would be proper sensitization of the people on how to handle their domestic wastes.

Hon. Egunjobi thanked Mr. Igbode and his team on this new development of Cleaner Lagos Initiative saying that it's hightime they started evacuating refuses within the nooks and crannies of Agege. He urged them to be selfless in discharging their services of ensuring Agege is cleaner, safer and healthier.

At the end of the meeting, Visionscape Sanitation Solution Ltd performed a test-run operation within the secretariat to show their level of readiness to serve the people of Agege better.

Also, Visionscape Sanitation Solution Ltd went to Isale-Oja Railway side to collect heaps of deposited refuses for disposal.
