The Matchday Two of the Vinod’s Cup 2026 will be remembered as a festival of grassroots football, as Keke Primary School, Agege came alive with goals, drama and heart-stopping penalty shootouts.
From the first blast of the whistle to the last kick, fans were treated to eight pulsating encounters that showcased the very best of Agege football in style with lot of passion, talent, resilience and never-say-die spirit.

The day kicked off with H.O.A FC battling past Dopemu FC 2-1 in a fiercely contested tie. H.O.A showed great composure in front of goal to seal their quarter-final ticket.
Atobaje FC took the lead against Fafades FC but could not hold on, as Fafades fought back impressively to win 2-1 and continue their strong run in the competition.
Taco FC produced one of the most dominant displays of the day, dismantling Palace FC 3-0 with a clinical attacking performance that sent a strong warning to other contenders.
Veterans FC lived up to their name with experience and discipline, edging A.U.D FC 1-0 in a tight tactical battle decided by a solitary strike.
The excitement reached another level when Olusanya FC and Malo FA played out a 2-2 thriller. With nothing to separate them after regulation time, Malo FA held their nerve to triumph 8-7 in a dramatic penalty shootout that had fans on the edge of their seats.
Unity FC also marched on with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Royal Empire FC, while Mande FC silenced Agege All Stars FC with a narrow but deserved 1-0 win.
The day ended in spectacular fashion as Super Gado and Skinranran FC served up a 2-2 classic. Super Gado eventually prevailed 5-4 on penalties to claim the final quarter-final slot.
With eight teams now confirmed for the quarter-finals, the race for the Vinod’s Cup 2026 trophy is heating up. The level of competition, the large turnout of supporters and the quality of play have further raised expectations for what promises to be a memorable conclusion to the tournament.
The organizers have been widely commended for providing a platform that continues to discover talents, engage youths and unite the Agege community through football.
