Stephen Odey put some respectability to a heavy home defeat for Belgian champions KRC Genk when he scored his first-ever UEFA Champions League goal against a rampant Liverpool tonight. Odey came off the bench after 81 minutes in place of compatriot Paul Onuachu and seven minutes later he got his name on the scoreboard. He smartly spun around inside the box to connect a pass home. Onuachu also had a chance to score earlier in this contest, but he was denied by the Liverpool shot stopper. Defending champions Liverpool won 4-1 on the road to stay second in the standings on six points from three matches, a point behind leaders Napoli, who won 3-2 at Salzburg. Genk remain rooted at the bottom of Group E with a point from three matches. Score Nigeria Editor
