Ministry of Local Government reels out one year achievement

..Dr Agbaje assures more infrastructure in rural communities




Today, at the 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, reeled out the numerous developmental projects of the administration of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, which has continued to improve the living conditions of residents in rural communities through critical infrastructure interventions such as road construction, electrification projects, water provision, inclusive governance with Traditional Rulers, and collaboration with Community Development Associations.




Dr Agbaje also assured that the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu would continue to intensify efforts towards providing infrastructure that would transform rural communities into thriving urban centres.



The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Kikelomo Bolarinwa, in her vote of thanks, appreciated Governor Sanwo-Olu for approving impactful projects for the Ministry aimed at improving the lives of residents in rural areas.




She further assured that the Ministry would remain committed to delivering the vision of a Greater Lagos through the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.



The Ministerial Press Briefing, organised by the Ministry of Information and Strategy, was attended by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Lanre Bajulaiye; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs Kikelomo Bolarinwa; the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Rural Development, Babatunde Durojaiye; Directors from both Ministries, stakeholders, invited guests, and members of the press.
