2027: Traditional rulers, religious leaders, political stakeholders hold "Peace Talk" To settle Political Rifts In Agege
Following the recent political development and aftermath of APC primary elections in Agege, Lagos, The traditional rulers, religious leaders and political stakeholders held "Peace Talk" to settle political rifts and reconcile parties involved.
Traditional Rulers, Religious leaders and political stakeholders in Agege held a peace talk meeting yesterday to settle political rifts among political stakeholders. The event was organised by the former council Chairman, Orile Agege LCDA, Hon. Johnson Babatunde in a call for a peaceful reconciliation at Orile Agege Council Secretariat.
Olu of Agege, HRM Oba Kamila Oyedeji Isiba, the Alaige of Orile-Agege, HRM Oba Hakeem Ambaliu Agbedeyi, Religious Leaders in a separate messages called for dialogue, reconciliation, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of safeguarding the community’s stability despite their political differences.
Speaking at the event, Former Agege Local Government Chairman, High Chief Ganiyu Egunjobi, and Barrister Azeez Yusuf, who recently defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), assured the gathering that he would pursue his political ambition peacefully and work towards maintaining peace throughout the electoral process.
Egunjobi also gave the assurance on behalf of his political associate contesting in Agege Constituency 02, Barrister Azeez Oladapo Yusuf (Ninolowo), saying their political activities would not be allowed to undermine the peace and unity of the community.
“There will be peace in Agege,” Egunjobi assured the gathering, while urging political actors and their supporters to exercise tolerance and ensure that political differences did not degenerate into chaos.
