Dr Yinka Ayandele Pens Emotional Farewell Message To EDDI Staff

AgegePulse Magazine

The level of emotional reactions that filled the airwaves in Agege, Alimosho and Ifako Ijaiye education circuit since the news of the redeployment of Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TGPS), Dr Yinka Ayandele from Lagos Education District 1 to District 3 are unquantifiable.

Agegepulse magazine learnt that apart from the countless unprecedented heights that EDDI attained under the leadership of Dr Ayandele, virtually all staff of the district are basking in the euphoria of how the enigma's work ethics, discipline, creativity and motherly approaches have improved them on the job and in individual family lives.

Some of the staff told us that since the news broke, they have prayed fervently that the decision is rescinded in order to keep Dr Ayandele at EDDI till retirement due to how she had changed the narratives of EDDI performance from bottom of the ladder to the top in all the district's academic and co-curricula engagements.

However, what looks like a rumour was confirmed earlier today when Dr Ayandele penned a well-worded emotional farewell note tagged: 'Signing Off In Style, The EDDI Way', on her social media platforms. In the message, she expressed gratitude to all the stakeholders of EDDI noting that their unflinching support was invaluable to her tenure at the district.

The message reads:

"Signing off in style... The EDDI Way

One thing that we have been accustomed with in the last 4 years is the fact that excellence being our watchword, we strive to do everything right. Eventually, we achieved myriad of successes and recognitions.

We're signing off my tenure in Education District 1 with another Award of Excellence which further demonstrates the relentless contribution of every stakeholder of EDD1 to the development of education in our community and Lagos State at large.

As I was honoured by the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ, Lagos Television Chapel with Award of Excellence in Education on Friday, I am glad to forge ahead with this memory while keying into the Greater Lagos agenda of His Excellency.

In the same vein, one of our teachers, Ms Adeola Adefemi was honoured with the Outstanding Young Persons of Nigeria Award for her excellent performances in the classroom over the years.

Undoubtedly, our achievements in Education District 1 would not have been possible without the brilliance, commitment, readiness and unflinching support of Lagos State Government, principals, teachers, staff, parents, students and other stakeholders of the district.

As I wave you goodbye and begin a new chapter of my career at Education District 3, it is my utmost prayer that EDD1 continues to grow in leaps and bounds.

Thank you for the unforgettable memories through the overcoming of several hurdles to arrive at meaningful conclusions in all our academic and co-curricular activities.

I urge you to transfer all the overwhelming love, support and commitment you showed me to the wonderful personality that will resume as your new Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TGPS)".

Thank you and best wishes always.
