Yomi Durojaye
Welcome Speech by the Association President
At the Building Project & Fundraising Program
Good morning everyone, All protocols duly observed.
It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I welcome you all to this important occasion — the launch of our Building Project and Fundraising Program. On behalf of the Yewa Old Students' Association (YOSA), I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all our esteemed guests, members, partners, friends, and supporters.
Today marks a significant milestone in our journey as an Association. What began as a shared vision is now taking shape into something tangible — a space we can truly call our own. This building project is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building a legacy. It’s about creating a place where generations coming behind us can gather, learn, and thrive together.
We understand that a dream of this magnitude cannot be realized without unity, commitment, and collective effort. That’s why this fundraising program is such a critical part of today’s event. We are calling on each and every one of you — whether as individuals, families, businesses, or well-wishers — to partner with us in this noble cause. Every contribution, big or small, takes us one step closer to making this vision a reality.
We are especially honored to have [mention any special guests, donors, community leaders, etc.] with us today. You
r presence is a strong sign of your belief in our mission and your support means the world to us.
Let us remember that every great achievement starts with a single step. And today, as we take that step forward together, I believe we are planting the seeds of something truly lasting for generations to come.
Once again, welcome, and thank you for being here. Let’s make this journey a successful and memorable one — together.
Thank you.
