LASG Announces Road Closure along Agege Motor Road Axis for Railway Modernisation Project

AgegePulse Magazine

The Lagos State Government has announced that the Adejobi axis of Agege Motor Road will be closed on the 4th of January, 2020 from 6.00pm to 12.00pm the next day for activities related to the modernisation project of the Lagos-Ibadan section as well as its extension to Lagos Port/Apapa rail tracks at the Level Crossing.

A statement issued by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation appealed to residents, especially motorists plying the corridor to bear the pains, noting that the project is aimed at achieving a seamless multi-modal transport system in the State.

According to the statement, alternative routes have been provided for road users during the course of construction, including Ashade Underpass and Fagba Crossing, to ensure motorists reach their various destinations with ease.

The release said the government is taking steps to create proper road infrastructure that will ultimately improve the traffic situation and facilitate the free flow of traffic within the State.

Memories Recounted As Family Remember Ologba of Ogba

Today, 21 November, 2017 is one of the most unforgettable days in the Royal Family of Ashade in Ogba, Agege. It was the day that Ologba of Ogbaland, Oba Ibrahim Sanni Ashade joined his ancestors.

It is now three years since the entire Ogba community woke up to the news of the departure of the highly revered custodian of justice.

However, Agege Pulse reliably gathered that the Ashade family are planning to hold prayers to mark the 3rd year anniversary of the late monarch.

In a brief chat with the Regent (Adele) of Ogba, Prince Jelili Kehinde Ashade, he revealed that the family, on a daily basis, feel the gap left by their patriarch whom he said was generous, straight forward and a disciplined man.

The regent stressed that the monarch's legacy has been a source of inspiration for the entire community, hence the need to keep him in prayers.
