NECO releases 2026 BECE results

The National Examination Council, has released the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination results



A total of A total of 126,291 candidates registered for the examinations in 12 subjects which commenced on 20th April, 2026 and was concluded on 30th April, 2026.


The Acting Director, Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, made this known on Thursday in a statement in a statement in which he disclosed that an award Committee has approved a date for the 2026 BECE re-sit examination.


The chairperson of the Award Committee and Director, Basic Education, Federal Ministry of Education, Folake David, who represented the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa, expressed satisfaction with the processes leading to the successful release of the result.


“The result of the examination was released following the successful conclusion of the 2026 BECE Award Committee Meeting held at the Council’s Headquarters in Minna, Niger state.


“The Award Committee has approved the date and time for the 2026 BECE Re-sit examination. The Re-sit examination is scheduled to hold on 22nd and 23rd July, 2026 for Mathematics and English Studies.


“The BECE Re-sit examination is conducted for candidates that have conditional deficiencies in Mathematics or English studies or both.

The Re-sit examination is to enable affected candidates remedy deficiencies in mathematics and English Studies, which allows them gain the necessary certification for admission and placement into Senio@r Secondary School (SSS1) without repeating a full academic year,” she said.


The BECE is conducted by NECO for pupils completing the nine-year Basic Education programme in Nigeria.


The examination serves as a key assessment for admission and placement into Senior Secondary School.

LASG releases results of common entrance examination

The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has officially released the results of the Year 2024 Placement Test by Continuous Assessment Scores, CAS of Primary Six Pupils in the State.

In a statement released by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Adebayo Orunsolu, the ministry announced that the results for Primary Six Pupils transitioning to Government Public Junior Secondary Schools for the Year 2024/2025 Academic Session are now available on the Lagos State Examinations Board’s Portal.

Orunsolu emphasized the convenience of accessing the results, stating, “Concerned authorities are requested to login with their Schools’ default/existing Username and Password provided during the registration of their Pupils to enable them print out the results with effect from Monday, 2nd September, 2024. This arrangement is aimed at reducing the delays previously associated with the process.”


The statement further outlines the seamless process for all concerned schools – Public and Approved Private Primary Schools in the State – to print their results online to eliminate the stress of having to physically visit the Board for the collection of the results.


Moreover, the Director highlighted the commitment to inclusivity in education, saying, “We promise to sustain the Education Policy that says ‘No child should be left behind.’ All successful Pupils in both Public and Approved Private Primary Schools will be given equal treatment.”



As the results are released, all approved private primary schools that participated in the examination are required to submit their results to the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, LASUBEB to ensure the inclusion of the names of their Candidates who passed the test in the FIRST LISTS OF PUPILS to be placed for admission in Government Public Junior Secondary Schools in the State.

WAEC Releases 2024 WASSEC result, See how to Check Result

The post read, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”




For the students who will be checking results, here are steps to follow:

Checking WAEC Results 2024 Online

  1. Visit the WAEC official results checker website: WAEC result checker. (www.waecdirect.org)
  2. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number in the designated field.
  3. Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2024
  4. Select the Type of Examination
  5. Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
  6. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
  7. Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up

Checking WAEC result 2024 via SMS

Step 1: Type WAECExaminationnumberPIN*Examyear through your phone (there should not be a space in between).


Step 2: Send to 32327


Step 3: You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result.


It should be noted that only MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers can actually check their WAEC results using this SMS method.

Students can repeat the step if they do not receive your WAEC result via SMS, kindly repeat this step again.


SMS charges will be applied when checking your WASSCE result using text messages.
