TG/PS COUNSELS STUDENTS ON READING HABITS AHEAD OF EXAMINATIONS

 AgegePulse Magazine

The Tutor General/Permanent Secretary Education District III, Dr. Yinka Ayandele has advised students to embrace the culture of reading and early preparation for examinations as a way of avoiding mass failure in both internal and external examinations.

Ayandele expressed this view recently during an official tour to some schools in Epe zone within the District to assess the level of preparedness of both the students and the teachers for the forthcoming Senior Schools Certificates Examinations, SSCE.

She encouraged the students to adhere strictly to the examination rules and comport themselves in an orderly manner in order to avoid being sanctioned by examiners.

She attributed most students' failures in examinations to inability to study smart and avail themselves adequate time to read, just as she urged the students to practice with past questions and join study groups.

To further ensure that the students are properly briefed about examination guidelines, a detailed checklist highlighting necessary tips to achieving overall examination success were distributed to them.

With this strategic inputs, Dr. Ayandele believes it will yield tangible results for Lagos state Education District III and on the long run contribute to A Greater Lagos.
