He also announced the donation of the patrol vehicle and other security equipments to Agege Local Government, describing the intervention as part of efforts to strengthen security operations at the grassroots level.

Former Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, Hon. Johnson Sunday Johnson Babatunde, HRM Ologba of Ogba Oba Latif Oladimeji Egbeyemi in their presentations stressed the importance of information sharing in effective security management. He advocated a security structure that extends from the local government level to wards, streets, homes and families, while also calling for stronger grassroots security initiatives, including the Paramole security structure.

Oba Latif Oladimeji Egbeyemi commended the initiative, noting that security remains fundamental to sustainable community development and economic prosperity.

Earlier, Obasa, in his welcome address, said the Agege Security Summit is designed to create a structured platform where government, security agencies, traditional institutions, community leaders, businesses and residents can speak honestly, listen to one another and agree on practical measures that will make our communities safer.

"We are here to move from reaction to prevention; from isolation to collaboration; and from suspicion to shared responsibility.

described security as a collective responsibility and urged residents to remain vigilant, provide credible information to security agencies and take proactive steps to prevent crime.

Obasa highlighted some of the administration's security initiatives, including the installation of more than 600 streetlights, deployment of CCTV cameras and regular security meetings involving traditional rulers and security agencies.

"When our streets are unsafe, commerce suffers.

When businesses are vulnerable, investment retreats.

When young people are exposed to drugs, violence and criminal influences, the future of the community is endangered.

When conflicts are allowed to escalate because early warning signs were ignored, the consequences can be devastating.

"Agege is a vibrant and resilient community with enormous economic and human potential. We are home to hardworking residents, entrepreneurs, artisans, traders, professionals, students, religious institutions and businesses.

"But we must also acknowledge that, like every growing urban community, we face challenges, including theft, vandalism, street violence, drug-related activities, cultism, traffic-related disputes, domestic and community conflicts, and other forms of criminality.

"We cannot wish these challenges away. We must confront them and confronting them requires more than reacting after an incident has occurred, all these requires intelligence before the incident, intervention before escalation, and partnership before crisis, transparency, professionalism and the collective commitment of stakeholders".Obasa asserted.
