Teachers’ recruitment: LASG calls for patience

The Lagos State Government has urged applicants interested in the on-going teachers’ recruitment exercise in the State to be patient with the slow pace on the online application website.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Adebunmi Adekanye made the call following complaints by some applicants that the job portal (http://jobs.lagosstate.gov.ng) was very slow, stressing that it was as a result of the number of applicants trying to register at the same time.

She, however, assured that the backend team is working assiduously to accommodate all applications that are dropping in droves since the commencement of the exercise.

The Permanent Secretary advised that there was no reason to panic as applicants have up till Thursday, September 6, 2018 to send in applications, adding that the traffic on the portal would gradually reduce as more applicants succeed in submitting their applications.

Adekanye reiterated the commitment of the State Government to fairness and transparency in the recruitment exercise aimed at injecting fresh and qualified teachers into the Public Primary and Secondary Schools in the State.

Infrastructure: Agege LG Boss, Egunjobi Inspects Ongoing Road Construction Project At Taiwo Dada Street

In a bid to ensure that contractors keep to the details and agreement signed prior to the allocation of any project, the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Area,  Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi is leaving no stone unturned.

Egunjobi today, paid surprise visit to Taiwo Dada Street where there's an ongoing road construction project.

Although, Egunjobi was satisfied with the level of work done on the road which has been begging for construction for years, he however, urged the engineers to ensure the few meters left, meet same quality as the areas already tarred.

Taiwo Dada Street is one of the most important roads under Agege LGA. It links  Morkaz Road, Awori, Alhaja Shifawu, and Ogunwo Streets. Also, it links Apata Street where Olu of Agege's Palace is situated.

The residents of Taiwo Dada were filled with excitement on sighting Egunjobi today. They were grateful that their road received government attention after decades of desertion.
