FEDERAL GOVERNMENT APPROVES AN UPWARD REVIEW OF NIGERIANPASSPORT FEES TO ENSURE QUALITY AND INTEGRITY

As part of its efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of theNigerian Standard Passport, the Federal Government has approved anupward review of the fees for the Passport effective from 1st September, 2024.


2. Based on the review, 32-page Passport booklet with 5 year validity previously charged at Thirty-five Thousand Naira (N35,000.00) will now be Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00) only; while 64-page Passport booklet with 10 year validity which was Seventy Thousand Naira (N70,000.00) will be One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00) only.


However, the fees remain unchanged in Diaspora.


3. While the Nigeria Immigration Service regrets any inconvenience this increase might cause prospective applicants; it assures Nigerians of unwavering commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times.

See CP Edgal Imohimi Achievements In Lagos

Lagosians will not forget outgone Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi anytime soon, thanks to his many proactive measures to address and curtail vices while serving in Lagos.

Before his deployment to Lagos two years ago, the state was faced with many criminal attacks from unscrupulous elements in the state but for the timely intervention of the CP, the state could go to bed with two eyes closed.

Edgal proved that he understands the security details of the nooks and crannies Lagos having served in different capacities in the Force before being installed as Commissioner of Police in 2017.

Some of Edgal's achievements as Commissioner of Police include:

*Ending Badoo menace in Lagos.

*Degrading kidnapping, armed robbery, land grabbing, cultism and all sorts of violent crimes in Lagos.

*Helping to scale up the fight against domestic violence and child abuse.

*Deepening Police-Community relationship through security partnership.

*Rekindling the faith and trust of the citizenry in the police.

*Activating a strong complaints mechanism through which the public can report erring officers.

*Being a pragmatic police honcho with hands-on approach to policing and security matters in the State.

*Helping to reduce crime rate to tolerable level in the State.

*Contributing significantly to the  ease of doing business in the State.

*Working hard and being a part of the success story of Lagos as the safest city in the whole of Africa right now.


Lagosians wish Mr. Edgal Imohimi all the best in his future endeavours.

RRS Officer Gives First Aid To Hit and Run Victim in Lagos

RRS Officer name withheld administering first aid to a hit and run victim on Ojota bridge before the arrival of an ambulance.



The RRS officer said, "I did this because of the value we place on human lives".

Lagosians who has been reacting positively on this gesture, described it as service to humanity.

Towards a secured Agege: The Sarki Hausawa of Agege, HRM, Alhaji Musa Muhammed today, play host to security stakeholders in Agege and Lagos State at his Palace in Agege, where the Lagos NSCDC boss Commander Tajudeen Balogun calls for the support of residents in the community in solving security challenges in Agege and Lagos at large.

Says this in a short interview with AgegePulse magazine that " if you see something, say something, if you see something, do something". Dignitaries at the events are: Lagos State SSS, NDLEA, NSCDC Lagos, NSCDC, Agege, DPOs in Agege, Sheik Habeebulah Adam, Al-Ilory, Sarki Hausawa in other communities, Eg. Guinea, Ikotun, Ifako-Ijaye, Alimosho, Hon. Rabiu Danjuma amongst others.

Obasa reiterates commitment to develop Agege, says: See Agege, See Paris

No doubt, the speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa is passionate about seeing a drastic and effective development of his constituency and the entire Agege community as a whole.
Obasa returned to Orile Agege on Wednesday 21st September, 2016, as a guest representing the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode at the commissioning of Ogundele Street. The speaker was treated to a rousing accolade by dignitaries' most especially female politicians and the market women at the event.
The number 3 man in Lagos commended the commitment of the members of the All Progressives Congress in the area. He noted that the commissioned road is one of the many rewards the community would benefit from their investment in voting APC candidates into elective offices during elections.
“It is heartwarming that Agege is now ranking among top cities in Lagos and Nigeria at large with the rate of developments going on in the community. We promise that we will commission more roads in Agege very soon which will bring total transformation to the area.
By the time the Abule Egba and Pen Cinemas bridges are completed, you will see wonder in Agege LGA and Orile Agege LCDA. Then everyone can boldly say “See Agege, See Paris”.
Obasa went on to deliver  Gov. Ambode's speech and afterwards cut the ribbon to officially open the Ogundele Street for use. He proceeded to Fashola street
