#2027: Agbelebu Appoints Sola Osolana As DG Campaign Org.

The Candidate of the All progressive congress in Agege Consituency 01  Oluwagbenga Michael Abiola Campaign Organization, OMACO, has unveiled the appointment of Hon. Sola Osolana as the Director General of the campaign, in what is seen as a significant move towards strengthening the campaign structure ahead of the election.



The appointment places Osolana at the centre of the campaign’s operational and strategic coordination as the campaign of Hon. Oluwagbenga Michael Abiola, popularly known as AGBELEBU, gathers momentum across Agege Constituency 01.


Osolana is expected to coordinate the various arms of the campaign, working closely with ward structures, community stakeholders, volunteers and campaign teams to drive the AGBELEBU message to the grassroots.


The campaign organisation also announced the appointment of Hon. Adegbenro Shodijo as Head of the Advisory Committee.


Shodijo is expected to provide strategic guidance and political counsel to the campaign leadership, while contributing his experience and understanding of grassroots engagement to the overall campaign strategy.


In another key appointment, Hon. Razak Oyedeji has been named Campaign Secretary.


Oyedeji will be responsible for supporting the administrative coordination of the campaign, facilitating communication among the various campaign structures and ensuring effective documentation of campaign activities.


The appointments represent the first phase of the constitution of a broader campaign leadership structure designed to take the AGBELEBU campaign directly to the people across Agege Constituency 01.


With the campaign machinery now taking shape, attention is expected to shift towards grassroots mobilisation, community engagement and the unveiling of additional members of the campaign leadership.


The Oluwagbenga Michael Abiola Campaign Organization says other members of the campaign leadership will be unveiled in due time as preparations continue.


The campaign remains focused on building a strong grassroots movement anchored on unity, effective representation, development and service to the people of Agege Constituency 01.

SANWO-OLU APPOINTS SIX SPECIAL ADVISERS

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed six Special Advisers (non-Cab


inet) to serve in various capacities across ministries.


The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Mrs. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, made this known in a statement on Monday. The newly appointed Special Advisers are:


1. Dr. (Mrs) Iyabo Oyeyemi Ayoola - Special Adviser, Office of Internal Audit


2. Mr. Olalekan Hafeez Balogun - Special Adviser, Economic Planning & Budget


3. Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafę - Special Adviser, Community Development


4. Very Rev. Bukola Adebiyi - Special Adviser, Christian Religion


5. Dr. Abdullahi Jębę - Special Adviser, Muslim Religion


6. Hon. Ismail Odesanya - Special Adviser, DAWN Commission & S/W Integration.


The SSG extended her congratulations to the appointees and encouraged them to align their contributions with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s vision for a Greater Lagos.


The appointments take immediate effect.

Breaking: Buhari Appoints Adamu New IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has Approved the Appointment of Adamu Mohammed as the acting Inspector General of Police.

Adamu has Served as the Commissioner Of Police in Enugu State and currently the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Five, in Benin ,Edo State.

AIG Abubakar Adamu Mohammed is to take over from outgoing Inspector General Of Police Ibrahim Idris.

Mr Mohammed was born on November 9, 1961. He enlisted in the police in 1986. He has a bachelor in geography.

He was at one time a director of peacekeeping operations. He is a former police commissioner in Enugu and was an AIG in charge Zone 5.

He is currently a directing staff member at the National Institute of policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State.

His elevation would imminently see several deputy inspectors-general purged from service, an exercise that would be reminiscent of how Mr Buhari sacked DIGs when he named Mr Idris as IG in June 2016.

Teleology finally takes over 9mobile, appoints new directors

After about eight months when it made the initial $50 million non refundable deposit to acquire 9mobile, Teleology holdings has been given final approval of no objection by the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to own the telecommunications company



The company also immediately, constituted a new board of directors to manage the affairs of the company following the disbandment of the interim board which held forth while the bid process and payment negotiations lasted.



The new board members included Nasiru Ado Bayero, Chairman; Asega Aliga, Non Executive Director; Adrian Wood, Non Executive Director; Mohammed Edewor, Non Executive Director; Winston Ndubueze Udeh, Non Executive Director; Abdulrahman Ado Executive Director and. Stephane Beuvelet who is the acting Managing Director.

According to Teleology, issuance of final approval of no objection by the NCC, means that the technical and financial bids Teleology submitted for 9mobile met and satisfied all the regulatory requirements.

One of the new board members, Mr Mohammed Edewor, said Teleology is pleased with all out-going members of the Board for helping to shepherd 9mobile through the critical transition phase it has passed through since July 2017.

He said: “For us, the composition of the new Board of Directors is another significant milestone, and this follows the issuance of final approval of no objection by the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to the effect that the technical and financial bids Teleology submitted for 9mobile met and satisfied all the regulatory requirements. This is indeed the dawn of a new era in the evolution of the 9mobile brand in the Nigerian market.
