Revealed: K1 Publicist Narrates Why, How MC Oluomo Was Stabbed
...Says K1 Didn't Insult Gov Ambode
AgegePulse Magazine
The Publicist of Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe, Kunle Rasheed has narrated the events that led to the stabbing of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Treasurer Musiliu Akinsanya (a.k.a MC Oluomo) during the rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Skypower Grounds, Ikeja Government Reservation Area (GRA) last Tuesday.
According to him, the crisis, which was purely union matter, started between NURTW State Auditor Adekunle Mustapha (Sego) and Idumota Chairman Azeez Lawal (a.k.a Kunle Poly) on K1’s stage.
He said: “Both of them (Mustapha and Lawal) had issues on K1’s stage and K1 waded into the matter. At a point, Mustapha left the stage. Not quite long. MC Oluomo came on stage and exchanged greetings with K1, NURTW State Chairman, Tajudeen Agbede. As at that time, the boys of Sego and Kunle Poly had started fighting on the ground. So, it was not safe for MC Oluomo to leave the stage until one of Kunle Poly’s boys came on stage and threatening to kill MC Oluomo with a dagger. Agbede slapped him three times and chased him away. K1 also joined him to chase him away from the stage. He later returned to the stage and stabbed MC Oluomo and one Abija. That was how it happened.”
According to him, if not for K1, the crisis would have been bigger than that as he repeatedly talking to both warring parties to douse the tension.
“I was on the stage with them. I was there all through. K1 tried his best to resolve the crisis between the NURTW leaders over the State Chairmanship tussle even before that rally. People should stop accusing K1 of not doing enough to resolve their crisis,” he said.
Rasheed denied that the musician abuse Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, which some said led the supporters of the governor to start the crisis.
According to him, the track people were referring to has nothing to do with Ambode.
“If you check the new album he made for (Babajide) Sanwo-Owu, that track is there. He has even sang the track long before the crisis started. The track is all about APC and the party’s governorship candidate,” he said.
On why K1 continue singing while Ambode was making his speech, Rasheed described it as normal practice.
“If you are at the APC Convention in Abuja, the instruction was that as soon as someone is introduced, K1 will sing. Same thing happened at the Skypower Grounds, K1 started singing when Governor Ambode handed the party’s flag to Sanwo-Olu and that has nothing to do with the crisis.
He didn’t abuse or insulted Governor Ambode as some are peddling,” he said.

Breaking: Buhari Appoints Adamu New IGP
AgegePulse Magazine
President Muhammadu Buhari has Approved the Appointment of Adamu Mohammed as the acting Inspector General of Police.
Adamu has Served as the Commissioner Of Police in Enugu State and currently the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Five, in Benin ,Edo State.
AIG Abubakar Adamu Mohammed is to take over from outgoing Inspector General Of Police Ibrahim Idris.
Mr Mohammed was born on November 9, 1961. He enlisted in the police in 1986. He has a bachelor in geography.
He was at one time a director of peacekeeping operations. He is a former police commissioner in Enugu and was an AIG in charge Zone 5.
He is currently a directing staff member at the National Institute of policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State.
His elevation would imminently see several deputy inspectors-general purged from service, an exercise that would be reminiscent of how Mr Buhari sacked DIGs when he named Mr Idris as IG in June 2016.

Babatunde Gbadamosi: Four major solutions the Governorship aspirant has for Lagos' problems
We are still yet to get over the candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Babatunde Gbadamosi’s profound speech at Saturday’s Lagos gubernatorial debate.
The debate was organized by The Platform, a civic discussion initiative of the Covenant Christian Centre and was moderated by British-Nigerian Christian broadcaster, Victor Oladokun.
In attendance: Mr Babatunde Gbadamosi who defected to ADP from PDP, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the PDP candidate, Jimi Agbaje, and the candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Owolabi Salis.
Here are four major things he said:
1. He lamented that civil servants in the state are poorly paid and promised to review their salaries if elected.
“The first thing I am going to be looking at very quickly is public sector pay. What we pay as civil servants and what we demand from them – there is a massive gulf between the two.
“Our civil servants are very disgracefully paid, and we want them to deliver the 21st Century service to us in Lagos State. That is not going to happen at the sort of pay levels we are offering them right now. So, we are going to upgrade civil service pay very quickly.”
2. Second on Gbadamosi’s agenda is the traffic situation which has been a source of concern for Lagosians over the years.
“We are going to be looking at traffic – simultaneously, at the same time (with public sector pay). We are going to be looking at the traffic situation because we are spending too many man hours in traffic,” he said.
In his estimation, every Lagosian spends an average of six hours every day going to work and back.
“That has got to stop,” he said, adding, “We are going to introduce high volume, high-speed passenger ferries across Lagos.”
When asked about the inability of successive governments to solve the gridlock, especially in the Apapa axis of the state.
He said, “There are a number of ways to tackle this problem. The most obvious one is rail. Secondly, barges to lift containers from the actual wharfs and take them to lighter terminals all around Lagos, and, thirdly, devolution of powers. It’s time we started this discussion about devolution of power.”
According to Gbadamosi, the ports, being in Lagos and the level of revenue being lost as a result of the gridlock is unconscionable.
“I’m not having it,” he said. “So, the first thing we are going to do is to copy the Ethiopians and build a heavy rail line, the length of Lagos State – all the way from Badagry to Ode Omi with branches going up to every exit point by road of Lagos.
“The point with this is that all of these exit points must have container terminals where the trains will pass through Apapa and Ibafo will deposit their goods so that people coming from out of state, which is quite common, will not clog up the roads with their trailers.”
Beyond this, Gbadamosi said Apapa, which is worst hit by traffic in the state is one of eight local governments that are captured under his Lagos Integrated Regeneration Plan.
“We are going to be pouring the money that AlphaBeta is currently taking to make sure that we regenerate that,” he said.
The ADP candidate had earlier identified traffic as a priority for him should he get into office and he intends to immediately tackle it simultaneously with the pay of public servants – his top priority.
“We are going to be looking at traffic – simultaneously, at the same time (with public sector pay). We are going to be looking at the traffic situation because we are spending too many man hours in traffic,” he said.
In his estimation, every Lagosian spends an average of six hours every day going to work and back.
Part of his plans to tackle the issue is water transport.
“We are going to introduce high volume, high-speed passenger ferries across Lagos,” he said.
3. Beyond the two issues, Gbadamosi explained that power was critical to everything.
“Thirdly, we’ll be looking at power because without power, we can do nothing. When God wanted to create the earth, he started with light. He said, ‘Let there be light’ and light was and then everything else came after,” the ADP candidate said.
To fix the problem, he promised that if elected, his administration would “put light in a minimum eight local governments within 18 months as part of our Lagos Integrated Regeneration Plan, an emergency plan that we will put together”.
4. On housing plans, he said “As of today in major cities across the country especially Abuja and Lagos , cost of housing and rents remains very high which has left most families feeding from hand to mouth after paying very high amounts for rent.
“We had massive housing projects in the past. The late President Shehu Shagari estates, former Lagos State governor Lateef Jakande estates have remained referral points in Nigeria in terms of housing.
“These feats are not unachievable if governments make housing a priority and target the downtrodden in Nigeria.
“Building estates that are not affordable for average workers in Nigeria only puts the rich in control of housing and making provision of shelter which is one of the major functions of a government, to be inaccessible to majority of Nigerians,” the ADP candidate said.
He said that rather than political sentiments, Nigerians should begin to align with candidates that could provide their basic needs which included housing. “Twenty five years ago, Alhaji Lateef Jakande built 20,000 affordable housing units in four years and three months in this same Lagos State. There has been massive improvement in construction technology over the years.
“Taking advantage of this, no government can justify its inability to provide massive housing projects for its people.
“Only when the people use their initiative to decide on what they truly need and focus on enforcing them will Nigeria and its states begin to grow in line with the people’s desires. He said that the ADP has housing as one its cardinal policies and that if elected in Lagos State, his administration would provide 10, 000 housing units annually and at least 40, 000 houses for residents within four years

Church Usher Rapes 5-Year-Old Girl In Lagos During Service
AgegePulse Magazine
The police at MAN Centre Division led by CSP Tanaruno Folashade have arrested a church worker of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Redemption Pavilion), one Saviour Udoh, for engaging a 5-year old daughter of one of their members in a sex romp during service in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church located at 19, Oshifila Street, Anifowoshe in Ikeja, Lagos where the mother of the victim took her for prayer and protection.
It was gathered that the mother of the victim took her to the church and went to work with the intention that she will be safe there before she will take her back home. However, when the mother came to pick the victim, she met Udoh with the victim where they were sleeping and covered themselves with clothes which they used during the romp.
When the mother took the 5-year old victim home, she was busy putting her hand inside her private part because of the sperm drifting from it. The mother then suspected her action and checked her private part only to discover that she had been defiled. She asked her who did it and the victim mentioned Udoh.
The matter was reported to the MAN Centre Police Station and Udoh was arrested. The matter was later transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for further investigations.
Police source said that Udoh admitted but claimed that it was the devil that pushed him to do so inside the church. The police found him culpable and charged him before Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.
The court did not take his plea and did not grant him bail. The prosecutor, Supol E Ayorinde, informed the court that it was a case of defilement which was a capital offence and needed DPP advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O .Osunsanmi, ordered him to be remanded in prison without an option of bail.
The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 6th February, 2019, when the court expected the DPP report to be available.
However, the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable for the alleged offence. He may spend many years in prison if he is tried and found guilty by the court because of the nature of the offence.

APC AGEGE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY TICKET: QUE SERA SERA
.
By Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo, MHR, Agege Federal Constituency.
AgegePulse Magazine
Although, this medium shouldn't have been where I should clear the air on the much talked about ticket for House of Representatives for Agege Federal Constituency under our great party, All Progressives Congress, yet the power of Social media in disseminating information cannot be underestimated.
My effort and struggle to get the ticket for my second term bid as a lawmaker representing our dear Agege Federal Constituency at the green chamber was a very tough one; ONLY THE SOLDIER WHO RETURNED FROM WAR FRONT, UNDERSTANDS THE WAR SCENE BETTER.
No gang up can succeed without God's knowledge and predetermination.
For those that know my political antecedent, you will recalled that my journey so far is an amazing one.
I aspired for Agege Local Government chairman, it didn't work out, yet my loyalty to my party and leaders earned me the vice chairman to run along with my Boss(chief Enock Kolapomoye Ajiboso); that same loyalty later earned me the unprecedented opportunity to become the pioneer Executive chairman, Orile Agege Local council Development area for 2 terms, before I aspired for the House of Representatives for Agege Federal Constituency, unfortunately, i couldn't get the ticket due to party and leaders decision and I was compensated with third term ticket as Executive chairman of Orile Agege LCDA,(record breaking) due to my loyalty to the party and leadership; the administration that recorded unprecedented landmark Achievements visible to all in Orile Agege.
Fortunately, the House of Representatives ticket I was denied before was given me by my people through a conducted primary by our party which I won credibly with over 50 votes, which afford me the privilege contest that election and to represent the good people of Agege Federal Constituency with their support and prayers at the green chamber.
Now, here comes the part that lots of people don't want to read about...
At the moment the House of Representatives ticket for Agege Federal Constituency has been given to Hon. Babatunde Adejare.
After all the efforts; it's imperative to obey the party's decision through our National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU.
Now, talking about Asiwaju: this a great leader that I have known as a political father and mentor since my political journey began decades ago and following him has been fruitful.
Just has God had used and still using me to raise lots of personalities politically and otherwise within Agege and beyond and who are now occuping various notable positions...the facts are there.
Interestingly, no one wants to write incomplete or partial political history, so this set up of personalities in Agege, whom are also contesting election, cannot write theirs without acknowledging how God use me for them, and the best they could do is ganged up to see me fall....I LAUGH!
Their plans bring to mind the story of JOSEPH IN THE BIBLE; how his brothers hated him and sold him into slavery not knowing that they are sending him to where God's purpose for his life would come to a reality and Joseph eventually become the helper of his brothers and family in time of famine/need... that's God!
Lots of people have expected me to defect to other party for ticket...but, my previous experience and reward for loyalty to my party will not allow me to leave my leaders and party... Moreso, this Same party and leadership have done a lot for me and my people in all ramifications and it will be ungrateful for me to defect to other party at this period.
It may interest you to know that I have been APPOINTED AS THE CHAIRMAN, BUHARI/OSINBAJO CAMPAIGN GROUP FOR AGEGE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY... in ensuring that Agege people vote en mass for NEXT LEVEL through ALL APC CANDIDATES.
About NEXT LEVEL...I AM REALLY CONFIDENCE THAT GOD ALMIGHTY HAS A PLACE MORE GREATER FOR ME IN THE NEXT LEVEL PROGRAMS.
To my progressives people, I really appreciate your concern for me in the course of my struggle; MAY GOD REWARD YOUR SHOW OF LOVE ABUNDANTLY, AMEN....MAY YOU EXPERIENCE NEXT LEVEL THIS YEAR.
The strategies of our Great party, APC to win the election are ongoing and will be revealed to my followers in due course.
Currently, some Constituency projects are ongoing in Agege Federal Constituency and some about to commence...all for the growth and development of my Constituency.
Your VOTE FOR APC is highly anticipated.

DSTV: We’ll not operate pay as you view system – Multichoice
AgegePulse Magazine
Multichoice, the digital satellite television operator announced on Friday that the company would not operate the “pay as you view’’ tariff system in Nigeria, in spite of demands for such.
The Chief Customer Officer of Multichoice, Martin Mabutho, made the statement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
Mr Mabutho’s stance comes against the backdrop of persistent clamour by the company’s teeming subscribers for the introduction of a pay as you view tariff plan in Africa’s most populous nation.
“We are not going to introduce pay as you view system. Our contract with our suppliers is on month to month basis,’’ he stated.
South Africa’s Multichoice has dominated the satellite broadcast space in Nigeria since the past 25 and has remained adamant not to introduce the pay as you view system.
“The issue of not introducing pay as you view remains. Nothing will change it.
“We are not going to do it. Our contract with our suppliers are month to month basis. The channels do not belong to Multichoice.
“What we do is to slash our prices in half to make our customers enjoy our services.’’
Mr Mabutho said Multichoice would continue to give acquisition promos or loyalty promos to customers every quarter as incentives.
Customers pay on month to month basis to enjoy the services of the company whether channels are watched or not.

2019 Budget: Lagos Assembly Insists On Proper Presentation By Governor Ambode
AgegePulse Magazine
The Lagos State House of Assembly has insisted that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the state must appear before it to present the 2019 Budget as required by the law.
This followed the information read on the floor of the House by the Clerk, Mr. Azeez Sanni intimating the lawmakers that his office received a message from Governor Akinwunmi Ambode dated Monday 17 December, 2018, but which he received on Friday 28th December containing the 2019 Budget.
However, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, who commended the lawmakers for their reaction to the message, stated that this was not the time for resentment, acrimony and agitation, adding that the stake before the lawmakers was beyond 2019.
"We must do everything to sustain our government, party and the state. You have all shed light on the issue in a matured matter.
"We went on break on 18th December, 2018. The first call I received on the budget was on 24th December that the Governor was willing to present the budget on that day.
"We normally go on break for six weeks, but we went on break for two weeks as we were waiting for the budget.
"Also, we received the budget on 28th December, when we were waiting for the New Year break.
"There is no reason to shift the blame on the House that we were not willing to receive the budget," he said.
Obasa added that the lawmakers were willing to receive the 2019 budget, saying that this was one of the reasons they were elected into office.
The Speaker however, said that this must be done properly by the Governor in accordance with the Section 121 of the Nigerian Constitution that he said states that the budget must be presented to the House before the end of a financial year.
"We are ready to receive the budget if it is done properly. We have no resentment, we have no bad blood.
"Our stake is beyond 2019. What we have here is not even a letter, it is presentation of budget by the Governor.
"The executive headed by the Governor must be ready to present the budget and we are ready to receive it," he said.
In his contribution, Hon. Yinka Ogundimu (Agege 2) said that the letter on 2019 Budget from the Governor got to the House on 17th December, 2018 and was received on Friday 28th, December, 2018.
"We normally close early, but we closed late to receive the budget, it came about three days to the New Year and there was nothing we could have done.
"The House normally have a date with the Governor, when he would present the budget. This is a clear departure from the norm and I think this should be addressed by all," he said.
Also contributing to the matter, Hon. Olanrewaju Ogunyemi (Ojo 2) stated that he listened to the Clerk of the House about the correspondence from the Governor, which he said ought to have been read out.
Ogunyemi said that if it was the actual budget, then they would excuse the Clerk for not reading it.
He emphasized that the budget got to the House three days away from the New Year, which he said was unusual.
According to him, the second reading of the budget could not come until January, 2019, and that the House was alive to its responsibility.
In his comments, Hon. Dayo Saka-Fafunmi (Ifako-Ijaiye 1) said that the observation raised by Hon. Yinka Ogundimu was apt, and that the budget was part of the reasons they were elected into the House.
"The first reading of the budget ought to be done by the Governor, who ought to lay the estimate before us. Since this has not been done, then we must insist on the proper procedure," he said.
This was corroborated by Hon. Moshood Osun (Lagos Mainland 2), who read Section 121 of the Nigerian Constitution, which addresses the issue of budget presentation to the lawmakers.
Oshun said that it was on record that the House normally passed the budget before the next financial year.
He said: "If the budget was brought on 28th December, there was no way we could work on it. The leadership of the House should take it up," he said.
The Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, who said that the budget issue was in public domain, revealed that he received several calls on the issue, but that he did not make any comment because he wanted to get proper information from the House on it.
"It is clear that we were ready to work on the budget before the Christmas break, but we could not work on it because we did not get it in time.
"We all know that there were always bilateral meetings between the executive and the legislature before the budget is presented to the House.
"The constitution states that the Governor should lay the budget before the House. May be the correspondence before the Clerk is about the presentation of the budget.
"So, what is before the House is a document that ought to be laid before the House and the committees of the House would sit on it. "The report could not be considered by the committees if it is not laid. "Members of the public may not know the procedure of the budget. "Section 121 of the Nigerian Constitution states that the budget must be laid before the House before the end of a financial year.
"We should handle it in our usual family way and ensure that the executive does the normal thing as we are ready to do our work," he said.
One dies, many passengers injured as train derails in Agege
AgegePulse Magazine
One passenger died while many others were injured on Thursday when a mass transit shuttle train derailed at the Ashade railway crossing in the Mangoro area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred around 7am.
The Lagos Railway District Manager, Jerry Ochi, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the victim died at the NRC hospital in Ebute Meta while receiving treatment.
PUNCH Metro learnt that three coaches were affected and that the train was en route Ebute Meta, Lagos, from Ijoko in Ogun State.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, said in a statement that investigation showed that the train derailed as a result of faulty tracks.
The agency explained that the faulty tracks had been reported by men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority in the area and were noted for pending engineering works later in the day.
It said the injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for first aid.
The statement added, “Efforts are currently being made to evacuate the derailed coaches as the Nigerian Railway Corporation crane has been dispatched to the scene from the Lagos Island.
“The GM LASEMA, LRT, LRU Paramedics, LRU Fire, LASAMBUS, FRSC, RRS, LASTMA and the Nigeria Police are on ground to ensure a swift recovery. Recovery operation is ongoing by the officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation.”
Scene of the derailed train
The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Chike Oti, had earlier said that only three people were injured.
“There was no death recorded but three people were injured and they have been taken to a nearby hospital. The derailed coach is being evacuated as I speak,” he told our correspondent.
The Public Relations Officer, NRC, Lagos, Khadijat Aroyewun, noted that the cause of the accident had yet to be ascertained, adding that preventive measures would be taken to prevent future occurrences.
She said, “This is just a one-off incident, which is rather unfortunate. The cause of the accident has not been ascertained; investigation will be carried out to ascertain the cause.
“However, the culture in the NRC is not only remedial but also preventive. What we do is that our technical experts ensure that the tracks are viable for movement before the trains are permitted to move on them. But when incidents like this occur, we make sure to find out the unforeseen factors that could have caused them and put in place future preventive measures.”
